Pasi Lautala

Accordion and lead vocals

A native of Finland and the only band member with almost understandable pronunciation of Finnish. Likes to tickle his squeeze-box and takes care of most of the lead vocals, English, Finnish…they all sound the same. Also responsible for majority of PasiCats songs and lyrics. [top]

Raimo Aamukinkku (Randy Wakeham)

Bass and vocals

From Oskar, Jeffers and Liminga comes Raimo, described by the Ontonagon Herald as “the bachelor lumberjack turned loose for the weekend”. Raimo and his blue-suede shoes together form an irresistible one man show on stage. Raimo is also the artist of the band with unlimited talent for attractive logos, CD covers and other PasiCats materials. [top]

Paris (Bob) Hiltunen

Guitar

Paris comes from the millionaire family of Copper Country (Dollar Bay). An imprisoned rocker with countless solos and the only guitar player on earth playing Finnish dance music behind his head. The partner in crime for Raimo for the most extravagant polka-choreography on stage. [top]

Tikka-Ori (Oren Tikkanen)

Mandolin, banjo, penny whistle. Etc. etc., and vocals

The senior citizen and babysitter from no man’s land between Lake Linden and Calumet. Desperately tries to keep the rest of the band under control, while educating them with all the intricacies of Finnish folk music. A musical genius, who switches instruments more often than underwear. [top]

Kerkko Kaunispoika (Mike LaBeau)

Drums, vocals

Kerkko comes from the Dollar Bay castle with the Finnish Princess. ”The unsung hero of the band” uses his state-of-the-art cocktail kit to drive dancers nuts with his rapid-fire polka-beat. The kit ain’t big, but the variety of music coming out of it is a reason for envy throughout the Copper Country. [top]

Kullervo (Keith) Rintala

Electric guitar

Kullervo is the Kalevala-based magician directly from Oskar Bay Rintala family. He is a hardcore rocker turned into polka-guitarist. It takes Kullervo more time to set up his pedals than for the rest of the band to set up the whole stage. Kullervo brings his own unique style to the band and with him around, traveling in never boring. [top]
